Major U.S. Connecting Hubs
Most flights from the USA connect through major international hubs. Common routes include service via Miami, Houston, Atlanta, Dallas, New York, and Los Angeles.
Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM)
The primary international gateway for Lima and Peru. Located in Callao, it is a modern, efficient terminal well-connected to the central areas like Miraflores and San Isidro.
Safety & Neighborhoods
We recommend staying in Miraflores, Surco, or Barranco. These areas are very visitor friendly. As in any major city, use ride-share apps like Uber or the private driver we've arranged instead of hailing street taxis.
Weather & Packing
Lima can be humid with a gentle coastal breeze. Warm/Hot during the day and a light jacket/scarf for the night. Pack light layers and don't forget comfortable walking shoes for sightseeing and your finest formal wear for our big day!

Money & Payments
The local currency is the Sol (PEN), but major credit cards are widely accepted in restaurants and hotels. It’s always handy to carry some small cash for markets and smaller shops.
Local Etiquette
Peruvians are incredibly warm and welcoming. A polite 'Buenos días' goes a long way. Tipping is customary in restaurants (usually around 10%). Also, please note that tap water is not for drinking!
